Subaru injects new blood in their model line-up with Euro-spec Levorg at Geneva Motor Show
Subaru will showcase new euro-spec Levorg at the Geneva Motor Show this week, it is an excellent attempt to inject some fresh blood in the model line-up of Subaru Europe.
Boxer engine manufacturer will be the only Japanese manufacturer who will introduce a new model solely for the European market. Levorg is not actually a new model because it has proven itself in the Japanese market as a real success.
Subaru has sold 30,000 Levorg models in the Japanese market in only past seven months. This sales volume proves that it is a real success like other Subaru models. The Levorg has been acclaimed as a superb vehicle with excellent driveability and safety.
After its success in the Japanese markets, Subaru has decided to launch it in the European markets. It will help Subaru to raise their brand prestige in the competitive European market.
New Levorg will go on sale in Europe from autumn this year. There is no doubt about the engine line-up. Levorg will definitely going to
use Subaru boxer engine, a 1.6 litre direct injection turbocharged engine will offer its new users a driving pleasure they would not find anywhere else. Safety and versatility will be the next thing no other can offer.
The Levorg will target the C-Segment estate cars, where
Skoda Octavia Combi will be the main rival this Japanese car manufacturer. Subaru uses the AWD system as their main selling factor and it is available at the Levorg as standard, especially for European markets.
Boxer engines are proven performers since ages, however this 1.6 litre engine offers fuel economy of around 50mpg which is not that bad for a Levorg sized estate. Other features include, start/stop technology, SI-Drive mode selector, Active Torque Split with AWD system.
LED headlights, EyeSight, lane keep assistant, electric parking brakes and keyless entry are the other features that a Levorg will offer. Levorg is assumed as very safe model to be put on sale in Europe and you will be able to get all these features in different trim levels
