Subaru has finally introduced its special edition of XV Crosstrek at Detroit Auto Show 2015
The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek special edition is a model with a sunshine yellow colour that made the Subaru stand very prominent at the Detroit Auto Show 2015. The yellow shade actually looks darker than a casual blazing yellow tone that gives an impression of being in a spring morning when sun rises and starts shining. The new Subaru will be manufactured 1,000 examples of these sun shining models and will be available in spring.
Beyond the bright yellow paint, buyers get a Crosstrek with a power sunroof and yellow folding mirrors and blackened headlights. Subaru said that the XV Crosstrek is one of the most efficient and fuel-saving model in the Subaru’s entire engine line-up offered in America.
It has been officially announced that the new Subaru XV Crosstrek delivers 34-mpg EPA-estimated on the motorway. The XV Crosstrek is a small SUV but has a strong selling base since 2012 and now has become the best-selling model in the entire Subaru SUV line-up.
A 2.0 litre
Subaru boxer engine is offered with an aluminium body, engine block and cylinder head. It has a long-stroke configuration of 90mm as the standard engine is 84mm in length. It produces a power swirl of 148bhp and 145 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm.
It is powered by a CVT transmission with very smooth gear shifting and performance. This setup will help the engine to keep its operating range at very efficient level. There is a six-speed manual version also available that offers the driver a pre-set gearing ratio to control the transmission. The Subaru XV Crosstrek looks like a rocky crossover and backs up its presence with Subaru’s famous credentials.
